Boeslum scarf is an extremely lightweight, airy and truly beautiful scarf designed by Ruth Sørensen. Ruth Sørensen is known for her amazing creations in Fair Isle knitting, including designs in our own shetland wool, but here she proves that she is just at capable designing in other yarn materials. Boeslum scarf is worked with a simple intarsia technique with one main color and five contrast colors. The scarf has a square pattern, formed by alternating knitting with one strand in the main color and continuously adding a contrast color, so you work with two strands throughout.

The scarf is also a great opportunity to use some yarn scraps from previous projects. It can be knitted with a minimum of 2 colors. To maintain the lightness in the scarf, it would be optimal to work in a lace weight yarn roughly equivalent to our , 25 g / approximately 230 yards (210 meters). You will need approximately 100 g of the main color and a minimum of 50 g of the contrast color, depending of the yardage.
